Mine Yoshizaki is the mangaka of the Keroro Gunso (Sgt. Frog) manga series. He started out his career writing dojinshi, or self-published works, about video games. He published Sgt. Frog first in the Shonen Ace magazine in Japan. After getting many interested readers, he was able to get it published by the Kadokawa Shoten company. Keroro Gunso then went on to winning the 50th Shogakukan Manga Award for children’s manga, in 2005. He worked on a few Gundam projects because the Sgt. Frog anime was produced by Bandai. He also designed a character for Soulcalibur IV named Angol Fear, who was based on Angol Mois from Sgt. Frog.

Junichi Sato is the director of the Sgt. Frog anime, and Keroro Gunso the Super Movie 1, 2, and 3. He has directed many well known animes, such as Sailor Moon and Kaleido Star. He and his friend Toru Suzuki were arrested and jailed for 26 days in 2008 when they uncovered a whale based conspiracy.  He also goes by other names, such as the pen name Sakura Hikawa he uses when he writes songs for animes.

Sunrise, Inc.

Sunrise Inc. is the studio that produced the Sgt. Frog anime. It is one of Japan’s largest anime studios, and is well known for producing many original Mecha style animes, such as the Gundam series. It also has produced many other original non-mecha animes such as Witch Hunter Robin, and manga adaptions such as Inuyasha or, in this case, Sgt. Frog. Many of the animes that they have produced, especially Gundam, have won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize.
